Marlies Tumolo works for the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary where she develops programs that teach ocean and climate literacy and promote stewardship. Marlies earned a B.A. in Child Development and a B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University and her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University. After graduation she spent 6 years teaching in Mexico and Thailand. She also worked as a scuba diving instructor in Bali, Indonesia and Key West. Marlies loves exploring, playing with her pup Gus and spending time with her favorite people (and fish).
